During our media time last week, we filmed the key trends for this year's warmer weather. As mentioned in my last blog, there are a few to watch out for. The Sara spring/summer collection includes a nautical return, embellished tees, sequence, denim and bright, bold colours that spice up any wardrobe.

I also shot for David Jones. It was a fun day spent making beautiful pictures. I wore some different Sara pieces that I hadn't worn/seen at the shoot a week prior. The buyer is full of surprises!

My week also had family flying up from Melbourne for the weekend. A close friend and her family also flew up to Sydney from Melbourne to spend time with us. We ventured to the Aquarium and surrounding area for the day. Our children loved the sea creatures they saw. Mila was beside herself with excitement. We love seeing and spending time with those we love and cherish.

Less than a week to go and we return to the heat wave in New York. Quite a concept isn't it?

Congratulations to Janna who was the Perfect Pose winner. Janna and her lovely sister Lisa came and spent a morning with the crew and I in the studio this week. We shared some laughs whilst on set and some additional tips on how to look your best in front of the camera.

We just finished shooting the spring and summer collections for 2010. We had a great shoot that lasted just over a week. The location days in Sydney were chilly to say the least, especially the early mornings.

I was a great source of entertainment for those living in the south of Sydney, shooting swimwear on the beach in the middle of winter with my Ugg boots on and wrapped in blankets in-between shots. Thank goodness for the outdoor heater our producer Andrea organised to keep me warm!

You can expect to see bright, bold colours for the next two Sara collections. Some key trends include nautical, ruffles, embellished tees, sequence and denim. The colour mint is one of my favourite this season.

It won’t be long before you see the next Sara catalogue.

I love shoes… to buy them and to wear them. Yesterday I bought these gorgeous emerald coloured heels that oozed yummy from the shop window. I had to have them. They have straps in all the right places and I cannot wait to hit the New York pavement in them.

Shoes and accessories are for me, playful and fun for the most part. You are free to express your cheeky and daring side without taking too many risks. It completes a look without having to make one.

Strappy, sexy sandals are everywhere this summer in the Northern Hemisphere. In nudes, black, metallics and bright crayon-hued tones. Anything and everything goes this season and in a matter of months, the southern hemisphere will be smiling with delight and what choice!

Ballet flats are still so hot for those that are afraid of heights. In ALL fabulous styles like animal, floral metallic, neutral and the forever classic… black!

Lastly, there is the embellished flat strappy sandal that screams flashy (but not corny)! With big stones or tiny crystals, the beaded flats complete your simmering summer look… no matter what it is.

I've been wearing my new spring/summer dresses from the Sara collection and people have literally been stopping me in the street asking, "where I got them from". You have lots to look forward to when the new catalogue comes out next month!

Also, the bright and bold colours of make-up team up beautifully with the new season palettes. Experiment and be playful. Look in your favourite magazines for ideas and guidance if you get stuck with what to do. They are a great source of inspiration.

Gold and silver accessories play their part in you looking hot and saucy for the warmer months. Layer up the accessories for a completed look of fabulousness.

Shoes can go either way... heel or no heel. There are many metallic, nude and colour choices out there for all tastes and styles... Don't forget the sandal.

Here I am at home in New York. The weather is fabulous and summer is here! My Sara dresses for spring/summer are already getting a work out on the streets of this great city. I am stylin' it!

Within 24 hours of returning home, I was back on another plane heading to the west coast of the States for work. No rest for the wicked as they say. Since then, my feet haven't touched the ground (yet again)... my US clients must have missed me so it's work, work, work! I am thrilled!

My trip to Australia seems like a blur now although I'm still getting over the insane traffic of Sydney. Unbelievable! The government hasn't planned or anticipated an increase in the city's population it seems! The M5 for example has TWO lanes!!! Why didn't they plan for four? What a waste of time for the commuters and a test of ones patience.

Some days, I was in the car for almost five hours traveling to and from the shoot. Not something I have to put up with in New York thank goodness. Something needs to be done about the traffic and congestion on the roads of this world... does anyone have an answer or a solution?

Well, my crazy, busy trip to Australia is just about over. So soon already! I cannot believe I have been here for two weeks.

This week I had phone interviews lined up for another successful day of media plus an online interview I completed. These bloggers do ask some interesting questions that's for sure.

In addition, I shot for David Jones where Sara is also sold. We were shooting Christmas (don't say that word and yes it's around the corner) and summer in some very cool Sydney temperatures. The stylist had a hot water bottle and a woolen blanket on hand which I used in-between shots to stay warm... You're a star Amanda!

So with the work done, today Mila and I watched my nephews play AFL this morning. It was lovely to have some family time before we head back home to New York.

Well, what a busy week it has been! My feet have hardly touched the ground since I landed and things are still crazy, crazy.

After returning to Australia last weekend, on Monday the team from Good Morning New Zealand flew over and interviewed me for the first time. They were a lot of fun and we couldn't stop talking about New York, family and Sara of course. Sarah (presenter) and the producer had both lived &/or visited there for lengthy periods of time so there was lots to discuss and catch-up on.

The interview airs in New Zealand on July 10 so keep an eye out for that.

On Tuesday through to Saturday of this past week, the amazing Sara photographic crew and I shot the spring and summer catalogues in Sydney. All I can say is watch out for those bright, bold colours I mentioned in posts long ago. The collection is light, fresh and full of surprising subtle sexiness and femininity. The maxi dress is back too so there will be lots to choose from when the weather warms up and layers come off.
